Just a little triptych to show that Baseball Season is alive and well. Pictured is Adam Wainwright, the current Ace of the Cards. He was the winning pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals 1-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds in the season opener for both teams yesterday. The photos were taken in 2012 and I knew they would come in handy some day. Most of you could care less, but it is a big deal to me. Go Cardinals!!

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), although I think that on the east side of the big pond, soccer is the most popular game, I can imagine very well that both baseball and golf are the most popular sports to you. I can support you by yelling ' Go Cardinals' as well, but I'm afraid it will not be heard in Missouri, lol.

Everything is 'almost' perfect about this presentation TicK, the look, the windup and the pitch. The concentration on Wainwright's face as he lets the ball fly. Only fault I can see with it is the uniform...Go New York Yankees! PLAY BALL!

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.
Well, I think it's a nice piece of work, Tick.....and all this time I thought Red and White was just for Christmas candy canes, and Barber poles :-).

It is a big deal, Tick , it's Baseball !
I was raised in a baseball family. My Father was a big Yankees fan ... therefore myself and my Brothers are Yankee fans . After all we came home from the hospital wearing the pin strips . Being raised in the Chicago area I also have a fondness for the Chicago White Soxs .
Like you , my Grandfather was a big Cardinals fan .
So I know a little about the Cardinals .
It's a great collage paying tribute to Americas Favorite Pass Time and yes one of the great Baseball organizations !

Live Life ... like someone left the gate open .
It was ONCE the Biggest Thing when I was a Kid. It was Americas Game. Now Football is the Biggest Thing. What will it be in another 40 years or so? Grand Theft Auto? The World is changing everyday Tick, and NOT for the BEST I might add. At least not in my neck of the Woods.

Good action shots Tick and a very good tribute to your favorite team. Loved baseball when I was a bit younger and still like it but I've grown a bit fond of football since my daughter graduated from the University of Alabama.

I suppose if you field triplet pitchers at the same time you stand a good chance at winning a game once in awhile. Sure would speed up the game.

Is that something like our Cricket?..you bowl a ball so the other chap hits it with a bat!..and other fella's run around the field to catch it to chuck it back to a keeper to 'stump out the runner!..and shout 'Howzat'!!!
