This is a little Rotunda, in a County Courthouse, in a little town in Missouri. I just couldn't get far enough away to get its entirety into the photo.

I was on the First Floor, the Rotunda was on the Second Floor and there is not a Third Floor. They have a basement, but I figured they would frown on the noise of a jackhammer. In hindsight, it makes me wonder why I even took the photo; let alone post it.

To me it's an intriguing capture because I miss the punch line Tick. Ditto for the narrative as well.
Don't know therefore whether this musical addition is an appropriate one . Here it is anyhow, lol.

Enjoy Owd Fella.

I think it a great looking capture and very artistic looking with outstanding detail and nice looking colours too.Plus the light in this photo is one hundred percent and even from top to bottom.Plus one brain can make up the other half of this stunning view. Also you get the feeling of hight in this shot too.

If you would have asked us to guess what the shot was of, I don't think I would have come up with the right answer. It's in perfect focus, though, and very colorful. When you have something round like that, and take a shot of it with a fisheye lens, I wonder what it would look like. Just a thought.

Well, it is about 0.4127 of the full circle Tick - better than nothing. I like that golden border and the nice woodwork.

I feel the same way at times, if my shot isn't National Geographic quality it stinks. Photography as we know is about free expression and enjoyment in ones images and others as well. The song the title refers to always makes me cry.

The partial of the balcony works well with the composition!...

And it does make you want to look further into the scene!...

Sharp as a tack too....Nice one!

Actually, it's an interesting perspective of the rotunda. You were thinking outside of the box.

Gives me a bit of vertigo but love the lines and colours and it was well worth taking.
I could have a ball with this, manipulating it :)
Our beautiful old Courthouse can not be used due to not meeting earthquake safety standards (and not enough money to upgrade it)so being used is a horrible undignified prefab type box.

Did you try laying down on the floor and throwing a fit? It might be time to spring for that wide-angle lens you've always wanted. Wonderful architectural details and work in the photo, TicK.
