This one made me think of our Susanne who lost her batter with cancer a few days ago. We all were so fond of her and she will be missed. I can't think of anything more innocent, soft and trusting as a fawn that is beginning to experience life. I am sure Susanne's approach to life was much like this fawn.

I also like how the fawn is lingering in the shadows, while enjoying a patch or two of sunlight. Another possible contender for the contest, even though the shadows are very subtle.

Thanks Tick, for your touching words and fine image in dedication of our late friend Susanne.

Susanne was a noble and gentle person. I know for sure that all the Caedes friends will miss her dearly.

Lets keep alive the good memories from her and what she had done for this site.

May God have her soul.

Oh my, what a sweet and wonderful image to remember Susanne...she did impress us all with her kind, gentle, humble spirit and this lovely little fawn is the perfect way to exemplify those qualities...and what marvellous color and detail...a very touching tribute...thank you for posting this for our dear friend...would be a sweet entry for the contest too though personally I think the lighting and shadows in Frog Hair might make a stronger contender.

An appropriate choice for Susanne Tick - she will be sorely missed - I do like the shadow play in this - few light patches but just at the right spots.

A wonderful tribute to Susanne, Tick. The fawn is so cute, and it looks like it is very shy, sticking it's face in the leaves thinking...that guy can't see me now. I like the sunlight and shadows in this, even though the shadows are not so bold, they're still attractive shadows. Good luck if you enter it in the contest.
