Deer season is in full swing in my part of the world and one of the tools hunter's use is a trail camera. They place it on their deer stand before season starts, and check it to see what activity has been going on. The camera is motion activated and the animals are not aware they are being photographed. This particular shot was taken by a trail camera before the Bow Hunting Season. Many deer, turkey, coon and a cow passed by unaware they were being photographed. This buck is still wandering the hills as far as I know. The quality of the trail camera is not the best, so I boosted the resolution and did a little editing in Photoshop. No deer were injured in this posting.

That is still more detail than I would have expected from a trail camera. Nice automatic image.

Your buck has that, "Alright Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up", on his face. If you can get this neat of a photo with a trail camera, I just may sell off my Canon and get one.

Seems like a very good shot for that type of camera - I, like Sandi hope he makes it through the season.

I found myself telling your picture to, "Run! Run for the hills and don't look back!"

I had no idea that hunters photograph their area before hunting.

So where's the turkey, Tick? Huh? Everybody who wants to see the turkey, raise their hands. Thanksgiving is coming, y'know. Mmmmmmm... just me? S'okay. Never mind. The deer's fine. Venison makes good sausage.

To me (perhaps because of your way of editing) the result is far, and far more than acceptable, Tick.

The trail camera is a very good tool, not only to observe the wild life in this area, but for provide us with wonderful images that we couldn't have seen without its use.

Good 'action shot' of this temporary passive buck, Owd Fella!
