Nothing fancy, just an old door I spotted one time while I was taking my daily walk. I was on a kick where I was taking photos of interesting textures to use as photo backgrounds in the future. Time, weather and neglect created the many textures in this door. I can't help but wonder what is locked behind this door that looks like it would collapse from a stiff wind.

More like rats the size of cats behind that door which apparently has not been used for quite a while. Good textures here too Tick.

Rust, wood, and peeling paint, couldn't ask for more when considering texture...one for the contest, I hope...and I would also add the same comment I left on one of Bruce's images: Fantastic detail when viewed at max resolution...I wonder if everyone is aware that you can also do this without downloading...if not, you just hit the enter button on the number keypad on your desktop pc and it gives a magnifying glass where you can view the larger resolution...a little secret agent trick for uncovering secrets:)

I'm guessing that loneliness lives behind the old door with the long rusted lock. The loneliness of the structure itself or whatever it holds stored inside.

Wonderful rustic beauty and texture in this image, TicK. I think it's lovely.

This is great, really love the details, the textures, the composition is just right. I tend to gravitate to old doors, buildings, and fences ... but only if they have character. This is excellent for the contest.

Oh! how many times have I, and my students have wondered just what is behind these types of doorways. Intriguing, as we didn't know just what we would face. Thank you for these 'memories'.

It's interesting that the sections above and below are the traditional bible door depressions, while the center section has been removed and replaced by a piece of plain plywood. I good idea to create a folder of texture folders, Ron. I do the same and also one of clouds... all kinds of clouds.
