I got up this morning and decided to do some new exercises. First I pumped ice for a while to build up my declining muscles. Next I did my cardio workout; which consisted of slipping, sliding, falling down and getting up. This lasted for about five minutes. Nothing like a brisk workout to get your day started.

Needless to say, like Kathy we had an overnight ice storm. Ice on top of ice is nice. Not!!

Neat shot, but we had so much nice, white snow that I made Snow Ice Cream, guess I could have salted some ice sickles. We had some of those too. I didn't get all the exercise you did though. Just a little humor here now.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

I didn't know you are a Jack Daniels guy. I am a Johnny Walker Black fan myself. We had rain and no ice (so far). Pumping and falling is not good for my old lazy body to suffer. Liked you picture. Now, watch your steps!

At least you don't have to spend your Dollars for a workout exercise fitness class!...

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), after reading your narrative, I suppose that only you are capable to give this unpretty situation a humorist twist. I envy you for your perseverance during these severe wint'ry conditions in your area. It's amazing to me as well that, in spite of the 'slipping, sliding, falling down, and getting up situation' you were able to provide us with this 'action shot'!
Take care!

If you'll pardon the pun, pretty cool shot...and the singular color is very striking against the white...would make a great contest entry.

Oh my that does look cold but you took the opportunity to make a beautiful picture.
I hope everyone stays safe in this severe weather.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Ice can make for some interesting photo opts, and this is a good one Tick. The other night you could not drive over 20 miles an hour without sliding around on the roads. I'm glad I did not have to go out in it.Just walking out to the mailbox, or feeders can be a real challenge. Tigz=^..^=

I know this is strange, but these lyrics from Frank Zappa popped in my head when I saw this entry.

"We look pretty sharp in these clothes (yes, we do)
Unless we get sprayed with a hose
It ain't bad in the day
If they squirt it your way
'Cept in the winter, when it's froze
An' it's hard if it hits
On yer nose"
