Mind you, I haven't seen this movie myself, but it sure was advertised a lot. I figured they had to get their wardrobe somewhere and this looks like it would work. You can check out the movie here. I understand there was a top selling book too. This will be my entry for this week's SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES.
EDIT: In reality I was talking about the shades of grey in the buildings and scene.

I too have not seen the movie or read the book but certainly heard about it...I do like your '50 shades' represented here with the abundant variety of tones visible and also like the selective coloring...a great portrayal of this title and another good one for SNATM...many thanks, Tick!

The picture's title suits the title of the movie. I have seen it on my PC from the program called Sky (mostly showing games as well as movies etc.).The film has a lot of scenes (for adults only). Lots of shades of grey here Tic.

Smooth seas do not make skilful sailors.
Builders sure took their time and designed some gorgeous buildings and they stayed that way through time. Wonderful tone and capture here.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I love the subtle way of selective coloring. Probably done with a wink. Good choice for B&W for the rest of the image. The shades of gray couldn't be visualized any better.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
The B&W gives it a "50's/60's feel to me. Such excellent detail throughout. It's not 50 shades of grey but rather 50 shades of wonderful.
