I was feeling rather nostalgic today and thinking back when everyone in the family could go to the same movie together. Walt Disney came to mind and the movie The Light In The Forest seemed to fit my feelings. Most people will not remember it, but I'm sure we all admire the early Disney films. Some of the cast will probably get you memory buzzing.

I realize the photo is pretty simple, but times seemed more simple when this movie was released in 1958. You never know what will appear out of the shadows when you pick a spot like this and just sit and watch. Now that's living at its finest. My contribution to SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES.

The light filtering through the breaks in the "wall of trees" makes this a good image and a fir one for the title of the movie.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), when I checked out the link to see the 'Opening credits to "The Light in the Forest" (1958)', I saw that the depicted forest was pretty similar to the one in your SNATM-theme.
Proofs to me that it was a good choice!
Very well done, 👍

It looks like home to me. Dad bought 34 acers of timber, bulldozed about 1.5 acers and built a house. This is what the place looked like where the yard ended and the timber started.

Lovely place to sit and listen and imagine which bird you are listening to. You are right it is very relaxing. Reminder for us to do a little more of that.

Like the others, I don't recall this movie but I feel the same nostalgia when recalling days gone by and watching films with family and simpler times of life in general...I also recall enjoying the quiet peacefulness of locations such as this one, something I have not done in a long time...a wonderful look back and entry for SNATM...many thanks, Tick!
