"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." ~Dorothea Lange
You've sure cornered the market with great egret shots, EJ! This is another fascinating one - I really like the complementarity of those snowy white feathers and the hanging tassels of grey mosses.
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
What an interesting photo. The grey moss is an eerie background, and when you enlarge this to full screen the green color around the eyes is so noticeable. I love this.
God's magnificent creation is full of beauty waiting to be captured - when you think you've seen it all, something you've never seen comes up and amazes you.

For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
~ Throughly enjoying your Great Egret series EJ, as I also loved your last seasons works! I see these beautiful birds all the time, but never breeding. Wonderful shots, you should get a book of them all published!
