This is a photo I took this past Winter. It was as the Title states a Cold Gray Day. You can see a local Cajun Man in the background running his trot line early in the morning. Trot lines are made of heavy twine with baited hooks every few feet to catch Catfish. Many folks have made a living of doing this type of work. I'm sure it will remind JimBob of CCR so here goes. That fisherman doesn't mind one bit that it's a gray day, or that it's cold. As long as he gets his take, he'll be one happy camper. That bird is staying away from him, though. It doesn't want to get snagged. Very nice shot, EJ. Oh yeah...CCR...Willie And The Poor Boys...Green River...Susie Q...

Excellent photo EJ. What is a common, daily scene for one is art for another. Great artwork. I have used trot lines and run them at all hours. Sometimes I was even sober. Just kidding. It is a great way to fish. Is there a limit on the number of hooks they can have on a trot line in LA? Thanks for the nice post.

Nice work Ed. White skies like that are rarely a virtue in pictures but you made them one here. Has a kind of Scandinavian feel to it and it's nice to know what that fisherman is up to too. Lovely composition too with the diagonal line created by the trees and leading to the boat.

EJ, Hendrix, The Doors, Credence, I like your music selections. I like photography too. You form a wonderful diagonal from the tree top down to the boat. The white bird as a great additional cature, too!
