Another Big Barred Owl. This One was out hunting at High Noon. Very Odd or Very Hungry. Perhaps the Hurricanes messed them up. Some may say..... You should have Cropped it. Believe me, He is Cropped to the Max. Have A Great Day ! E J

i think the fact that you got him to stand out even though the background is light is magic. it's a wonderful shot. if you cropped it too much we wouldn't see his perfect perch.

I never tire of these Owl shots Frogz. We rednecks call them barnowls around here. Or is that a different kind. Love all the green with the Spanish Moss.

Excellent post. 10/10

I imagine the wildlife has been upset in ways we can't imagine Froggy !
But things will slowly return to normal eventually, perhaps this Owls natural prey is in scant supply do to the hurricanes. :o(

The cropping looks perfect to me. I like to see wildlife surrounded by their habitat. Colors are great. Fantastic capture Ed.

I wonder if I can get some artificial moss at WalMart, and hang it in the trees around here, to get shots like yours? Naw...it just wouldn't look right. LOL. Great shot of this owl, EJ.

Poor birds. I have to wonder where they go during such a storm. They always emerge safe and sound, however. Nice owl.

Very beautiful backlight EJ, the owl is so perfectly picked out from the background. The creepers hanging down always make me think of curtains in these shots.
