These are not True Colors of Fall in this Cypress Tree but Burnt Leaves from Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
Caused by Wind Damage and Salt Water Spray.

Haha I just posted a cypress shot too! The cypress along the Santa Fe River basin here in FL are just now beginning to change to yellow-green. Looking forward to getting some colors like this. Very nice composition and colors.

Oh boy, better snap all the pics you can while there is some beauty to it. I have also been told by my local TV newscasters that the saltwater getting into places where it shouldn't be is going to ruin most of the places I frequent for photography.
None the less, this image is very pretty.

The reds, yellows and orange mix in nicely with the hanging Spanish Moss, normally don't the leaves just turn brown and fall off. very colorful pic EJ

A terrible storm might have created this, but you're the one that got this perfect shot! So beautiful and excellent EJ! Love the colors and textures. faved!

Wow, I never thought about that but I guess the salt water from the storms will play havoc with the vegetation. When I saw the title I thought this was faux waterfalls - it does look a bit like that too.
I only just captured your capture now because it is so much more impressive on my home screen (21") than on my new travel machine (8.9"). It probably has something to do with my vision capability... :o) Thank-you for sharing the beauty!
