Great Egret puts on Air Brakes to Stop. In regards to Sherree's comment......Yes it was a very far shot. More than half the image has been cropped away. Tried to sharpen as Best I could. Thought some might like the Action and Light penetration of the Neck through the Wing. Have A Great Day! E J

Wonderful shot again of these beautiful birds. Love the transparency of the wings and being able to see the shadow of the bird through them. Excellent clarity and detail as always!

Beautiful shot of an Egret braking using her "spoilers". Jumbos have too much momentum I suppose!

Wonderful action shot EJ. Those backlit wings are stunning against the textured green. Did you crop this one at all? ... the focus looks a bit soft to me. Other than that ... colors & DOF look great. Thank you for sharing ... I like!

An excellent capture of the Egret coming to a screeching halt. I wonder if he left any skid marks? Good detail and clarity.

Wonderful to see how an egret is making a 'happy landing'. Didn't know E.J. that an egret could put its wings in the reversed mode! Excellent capture again!

I still think of Ann Margaret when I see those see-through wings Jambo. I had to go take a cold shower. That's for the birds. Great shot and what a great looking landing strip.
