Mating Pair of Little Blue Herons. Shot this One from about 250 Ft away. Overcast, Low Light and Cropped off at least 2/3's of the image. Lots of post work to make it somewhat presentable. Same bird can be seen in Patience. Only these are sporting the Mating colors. Very Bright and Colorful. Have A Great Day! E J

Wow what profiles they have. They remind me of Roadrunners. I have never seen too many in the treetops however. Maybe it is because of Wile E. Coyote. Great shot and I am glad you took the time to show us this one. This is one of those you would enter in a contest and ask for a caption.
You never cease to amaze SK.

A beautiful capture E.J. I've never seen them with mating colours. I guess it's to hot down here for them to mate. S&F to both hard drives in case one crashes. Excellent work

Although the conditions in your part of the world may differ from the the conditions here, know how extremely diffucult it is to make such a picture E.J, as it has cost me two days to capture an acceptable egret image (wich I will post in a couple of days). My compliments, for the post work as well. To me you did a really great job again.
S+F of course!

The color combo on these birds are absolutely gorgeous. Focus is a bit soft ... most likely due to the crop. Other than that ... I'm enjoying this image very much as I don't think these 'Lil Blues migrate far north. Nicely done EJ.

What a pair of beauties. The very long zoom shows in the quality here but that's inevitable. I love the little crests on their heads and the way they're both staring out in the same direction.
