An Oldie but Moldy from the Bin. Summer thunderstorms often strike dead cypress trees making them the perfect Lightning Rods. A rework of an Old post once removed. Slight Ortons and HDR combined. Have A Great Day! E J
EJ,
This is great! Just got it in the VB actually and gave it HIGH marks. Love the trees and the effects you gave that terrific sky. The ortons and HDR combination looks fantastic. Well done!

That is one dramatic looking sky. A few minutes ago, it looked like that around here. Then we got a big storm that only lasted about ten minutes. That was enough, though. Nice HDR and Orton job on this beauty.
I have found that Norton and FDR, although strange bedfellows, work well together. Once removed of course. I can see where the bark has been stripped by lightning SK. Beautiful scene with a great sky.
Wow, this is a fantastic shot and I never knew that the dead cypress trees making for a perfect Lightning Rods. I would have just though they were dead tree. You learn something new every day, so thank you. By the way, I love your shot.
Although the initial image was already a good one, the combination of slight Ortons and HDR has changed it into a perfect rework now E.J. Great post!
Regards, Cornelius.
