As some of you know I've been working in the thick piney forest of North Louisiana for the past 9+ months with not much to shoot except pine trees. Well this past week we were doing some test holes and the company I am overseeing decided to do the test in an area of the forest that had conducted a burn over. The burn over got out of control and burnt many of the trees giving me the opportunity to take some open shots. The image is of a drill buggy. Which in this case drills a hole 60 feet in depth and places a 5.5 pound explosive charge then caps it off. Special phones and boxes are used to record the reflective data when detonated. Geologist later study these records and decide where best to drill for oil and gas. This particular job I am now on covers over 500 sqaure miles of Northwest Louisiana. This project is located over one of the largest producing faults in United States known as the "Hanyesville Shale". I will post a few more images showing equipment and people I've been working with. No need to comment, just wanted to share a few images of my everyday work with you. Have A Great Day! E J
