Circa 1834 but looks as modern as anything built today. Shot this one recently down a Bayou road just south of where I live. The Live Oaks and Spanish Moss really take one back to that era. Have A Great Day! E J
Just another gorgeous and fantastic picture from EJ is all.!! Wow EJ, a beautiful and soft capture that dazzles the senses. Outstanding post-work and wonderful soft tones embellish this amazing home:):)
It does look like a modern building EJ. The image is very beautiful with the huge oak trees and Spanish moss and that lovely house with the sun shining on it in patches.
I had never seen Spanish moss until I joined caedes and saw your images. They have almost become your trade mark along with those Egrets. This is a lovely mystical picture of this building surrounded by these trees and moss. Well done! Ann
It's been years since my Memaw died and I've been south to see spanish moss. Can I have you ship me a crate so I can hang it in my Tennessee trees. From the lace curtains to the porch fans she's a grand old dame.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Definitely a collision of eras. I enjoy your perspective here. Beautiful scenic home in every way. With that porch and lawn, someone else would have to clean it... I would be outside. Thank you for sharing it!
Why not flip the house number on the steps? A very nicely composed scene and a lovely presentation of this grand old house. Love the lighting and colours in this photo. Great job!
