Enough bin material for now. Thought I'd Rework some oldies and try to make them better. I see that my processing skills have improved some from the first time I posted this image. This is also the field of work I was in for the past 20 years before retiring. I was not a Driller but a Seismic Field Inspector for the State of Louisiana. For those who are unaware of what Seismic is it's one of the First steps in finding where to drill for oil. Drillers drill holes, plant explosives in the hole and later set the charges off for a recording crew to gather the data produced by the explosive charge. Later a Geologist reads the data and determines the best location to set up a rig and start drilling for oil. These Seismic jobs today can range from as small as 1 Square mile to several thousand square miles. Any Oil Drilling in Modern Times without first using Seismic is still called "Wild Catting". The buggy in far background is the Drill Rig, while the Buggy the Guys are standing by is a Water Buggy. Lots of water is needed to enable the drill to work in the hard Louisiana Clay. Field Superintendent points crew in the direction of a low lying spot that holds water so they can refill their buggy. Have A Blessed Day! E J
