I am an experienced seafarer but even I wouldn't like to be on a trawler like this in bad weather EJ. Nice capture with lots to look at.

I like your take on Forrest and Bubba's Shrimp Boat, Jethro.
FDR really brought out the texture.
Now back to Bubba: "Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it"

I see Tic has beaten me to the "Forrest Gump" reference EJ, 7 to 10 ten days at sea is a long time, & must place a strain on the fishermans partners.

A dazzling photograph with good details, & vivid colour.

E.J., like Raj, I'm an experienced seafarer as well but the difference between him an me is that I was only twelve years old when I became seasick for the first time. I got used to spent my school vacations on trawlers as well. Although the skipper said, while sailing on rough seas, that I had become a green color (like the Hulk, lol), it didn't prevent me from becoming a maritime officer (later, like Raj, even captain of large ships).
Both your narrative and (wonderful) image are an unforgettable (sweet???) memory to me. Great posting, my friend!

Regards, Cornelius.

Your treatment is really good on your image and there is a whole lot of color going on here. Not being a seafaring man myself it is hard for me to see how anyone could move about on such a vessel. Definitely not for people with no understanding of what is going on. It looks like it could be a lot of hard work. The hard work part I can empathize with. Thanks for sharing this image E.J..
