Just as the Bee seen here is a Pollen Poacher on the flowers there are those out there who Poach other things in life. Those who do not want to spend the time to achieve anything of their own but would rather steal the works of others and claim it as their own. Such is the case here. As some of you older members may remember I had dozens of images of cars, trucks and bikes posted here until members from another site began downloading them, posting them and claiming that it was work of their own. I then removed all my car, truck and bike images and was away from the site for some time due to illness. I recently returned here only to post One Dozen images in a period of Two weeks. 5 of which where of cars and trucks. Once again I find the same Clowns claiming my work as their own on another site. The images were Watermarked. But Watermarks can be removed and have been. Also in the past year I found a Woman in Florida using one of my images to sell T-Shirts. When I first joined Caedes some years ago it was a more friendly site where folks came to find a few nice wallpapers for their computer. That is what drew me to the site. Friendly people from around the World Sharing. Back then you posted an image and got lots of Downloads. Today most people just want to rip others off. Out of the 12 images I recently posted these got 546 views combined, and 220 Downloads. An average of 45 views per image and an average of 18 downloads an image. This is a Very Low percentage if you consider Caedes has as of this writing...250055 members at present not counting people who just drop by on Occasion to rip off others works. Bottom line: I have made many Friends from around the world here since becoming a member, but now it's time for me to go. I will be back from time to time to keep in touch with those I truly care about and drop a line or two on a pic. Unless I have a Change of Heart this will probably be my last post here. Oh E.J. I hate to learn of your leaving us. I do hope you will have a change of heart. Picture ripping is such a low thing to do, and some on Caedes have been known to do it too, rip from another site and bring it here to claim as their own.
Like Sam said the counter is not time accurate on caedes.
Whatever the health issues are I do hope you can resolve that issue. I will miss you, hope you return.

I am sorry to see you go, EJ, but I fully understand. I had a picture of mine ripped a few years ago and put on another site...but it wasn't even that good of a picture. If anyone has done it again to me, I wouldn't know. You are the best at HDR, and I always enjoy seeing your work. I hope to see you again soon. Take care, though, and enjoy whatever you do with your photography.

EJ, I know exactly how You feel. It is fun being a part of Caedes and I feel as though I have many friends here and I do so enjoy the site. Your photos are high quality and I can see others without scruples trying to take advantage of them and You. I have some of Your waterfront photos that I use as wallpaper on my computer and enjoy them a great deal. I will miss seeing Your work, but totally understand why it will be gone from the site. Take care- I still will consider You a friend and will cherish You looking in on my posts (even though compared to Yours, they are just photos.) Thank You for all the work You have shared with us.

I am saddened to hear you are leaving us EJ but do understand your reasons...I will look forward to those times when you drop in to see us and hope one day you'll have a change of heart...meantime, what a superb parting shot...excellent detail and clarity and very fitting given the circumstances...take care of yourself EJ.

Ripping off photos from here has always been there EJ. My dahlias were used for a Japanese calendar even. That is no reason to leave caedes EJ. I am going to "poach" this image and store it on my PC because it is so beautiful. I hope you will change your mind and came back.

I was so excited two weeks ago when you reappeared on Caedes, EJ. During that time, you resumed posting your high quality photography and HDR work. I was so glad that things seemed to return to normal, with your health improvements and resumption of posting. I, like my friends above, am sadden to learn of the poaching and your subsequent departure from our family. You will be missed...again..but I understand. All the best to you and your family.

First of all, EJ, your posting of the pollen poacher is beautiful. I was very sad to see how you tied your image in with your narrative and that you decided to no longer post on Caedes. I'm still new to Caedes and have recently discovered your work and have found you to be a very talented artist. I must say that your subjects - cars and wildlife are two favorites of mine. I will miss seeing your work and I wish you would reconsider, but ya gotta do what is right for you. Take care and I wish you all the best life has to offer!!!:-):-):-)!!!

I think it has all been said Jethro. You know I will hate to see you go, but I know how to check on you and have that fine collage of yours hanging in my house to remind me of your great work.
I don't check other sites much but I had a few stolen a few years back. With all the sites out there, it would be impossible to monitor them all.
I feel sorry for the folks that do these things. They are really just ransoming their soul for some type of recognition. Be it monetary or personal.

WOW! just by chance (or fate) one of your beautiful HDR cars was in the featured images, i couldnt help but to click on it. there was the look in HDR i admired so much but fell short from it somewhere. i didnt hesitate to ask for advice and now im glad i didnt wait. you so graciously and openly gave me the tips i needed for that HDR look without delay. i had no idea you were parting the the site..not even a clue because we hadnt got the chance to know each other yet.
through the exchange of just a few PM msgs i felt like i knew you alot longer then just a day! i added you as friend, as you did me. after reading all of the above comments i see i have lost out a great deal:( however, i do understand your reasons with pic rippers, i struggle with the thought of some of the lowest forms of life breaking that cardinal sin among all of us..either talented or not..at least we all try to better ourselves with the time of learning, which is why i came to Caedes in the first place! not for drama, choas or corruption, i do believe thats what facebook is for :)
if anything? think about the people like myself that do appreciate nice work & want to learn, thats gotta be worth something. well thank thank you for your replies and time given. you didnt have to answer my PM's with you must knowing of your final decision already made. i hope our paths cross real soon again.

Well E.J., here's the way it is. I have been on two other sites and had the same thing happen. No matter where you go, it's gonna happen. Know why? Because all sites have people who are not perfect, some worse than others. So, there is no place you can run and get away from such skulduggery. Might as well stay where you are. That's why I have returned. The only respite is to know that there is a God who will hold people accountable.

A lot of us have had those same things happen, and I feel the truth of the matter is that if a person posts photos anywhere on the net, and they are any good, they will be stolen. I have always figured if I can't sell it, then there isn't much chance anyone else is going to either. Very few people make a living off of their photography, and there are literally millions of photos posted on the net every day. I take my photos, post them where I want to, and don't worry about it, this is a hobby for me, not a life or death means of living. My hobby is for relaxation, not creating stress for myself, so let the goons do as they please, 'cause I doubt it does them any good in the long run. We'll miss you around here, but hope you stick around though!

What ever happened to the good ol' days?
Hopefully this mood has been caused by this awful and tiresome period of the turn of the seasons - personally I feel horrible & lazy , far too lazy even to comment on friends images... :)
