Lucy looks so innocent, but she was full of kitty mischief. Unfortunately she passed away recently from natural causes. Here she is enjoying a favorite passtime. I did fool around with some filters, just trying out various items in PhotoFiltre. I hope you like Lucy, and all comments are welcome. Thanks for stopping by :)

I do like Lucy and I am very sorry, that all her lives are over. I also like, that this image looks, as if you did a lot of work with making an image, stich for stich, of Lucy out of wool.

Hi Calrlyn,
I have had two cats a once, they passed away within 3 years time (we have had them for over 17 years),
This lets me remind them, thanks a lot for that,
Great job with PhotoFiltre, I like the 'TV' feel,

Thanks for sharing

I like the textural effect you achieved in this. I am sorry of Lucy's passing. They sure are missed when they no longer are around to amuse or cause mischief.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I like what you have done with this picture of Ms Lucy.
Now I am crying, for your loss of your Ms Lucy and because our own Lucy also left us last September, after almost 19 years. I still hear her meow sometimes in the night :)

-This did make me cry, too, like LynEve. I know how it feels to lose a wonderful pet. =(

The filters and effects that you employed work well here Carolyn.

I think they add quite a suitable touch and nostalgic feel to the image of your friend that you captured here. And you composed this one well. :o)

Bye bye Lucy ... I am sure that even with you having been mischievous, you are missed. :'o|

Such a cutie...almost blends into the couch!! Looks like she could have been the sister of my baby..Duncan. But he's the got the white socks. You can see his pic in my photos I've posted on here. Sorry for your loss. I lost my first baby Eddi almost a year ago. Still breaks my heart!!!

I adore cats, and this one is especially adorable! She blends quite nicely with the sopha, don't you think? You've done a great job at catching a cat doing exactly what cats do best!

Hi Carolyn....

I am truly sorry that your sweet 'kitty' has passed on..heart breaking....it is indeed....but as Bob said before me...you have wonderful memories...my friend...losing a pet is a terribly traumatic event in one's life....;o(

I lost a beautiful gorgeous 'shepard' of sixteen yrs...that enables me to feel your pain....maybe you could consider 'replacement' therapy....it works....while you can't replace this little sweetheart...you can transfer some of the same experiences..the love..you so want to share.. to the ownership of another pet...;o)

Thank you Carolyn so very much for your visit to 'Peace'...I deeply appreciate your time spent with me....and I especially like being 'YOUR' flower lady....a very affectionate term...I must say...

Will look forward to your next visit...my friend!
