Sunset and trees

Similar to an image I posted recently, with slightly different timing and a larger view. Something feels like it's wrong with the image, but I can't figure out what.

I don't see anything wrong with this beautiful photo, I like the gorgeous sky and that impressive silhouetted tree, very nice work

I agree - I've got your first one for my desktop, and will happily go for this as well. It's got some brighter colours in it than the first, though the first shows more clear sky. I see that the brightest part of the sunset is behind the tree in the second one, so it's still the best angle for it, as far as I can see. ;-).

As others have mentioned above there is nothing wrong with this picture. I especially find the branches of the tree magically. The way they seem to intertwine and then branch out. It makes for a great desktop as the tree seems to grow out of the right hand corner of the screen.

NO nothing particularly wrong with the picture. The sky is gorgeous.

What I think you are experiencing is a basic aesthetic reaction. The subject of the pic is neither the sky nor the tree but the contrast displayed between the tree (as a silhouette) and the sky. Here though the silhouette is a little busy .. all those branches ... plus the other trees. (IMHO) Generally, a starker and simpler silhouette would be more effective.

But on the other hand ... it is still a nice shot.

-My Gallery- The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brooks Anderson

The Picture is excellent, fine color and lighting control. The only thing I would even guess at being out of composition is the left side high lighted cloud. Unfortunately, nature doe not always cooperate. A fine piece of work
