Just took this picture outside while I was racking some leaves. This bird likes to forage on the ground by kicking leaves over and to find the hidden insects. They also have a very beautiful call. Taken with a D80-18-200MM VR lens. Thank you for viewing, and I apologize for my inactivity.

Hey Chris ... thought I would jump in on your galleries since my last visit with your visual offering here. I had actually downloaded your image/photo and played around with it in Photoshop.

Caveats first, hope you don't mind ...

The focus is a little soft. The exposure is ok, and that was easily correctable in Photoshop. Bringing out some more of the details and in particular, in and around the bird's eyes ... and plumage too, of course. Nicely coloured specimen.

If I had to point to one thing that holds this one back ... it would be the one piece of paper(?) in the background. Not impossible to clone out, mind you ... however, it is a visual distraction, that in my humble opinion would be best removed.

A slight ... slight, crop to shift the bird to the right and still keeping one element that I particularly like ... that being the curve of the branches above the bird itself. Found that to be quite complimentary to your composition and indeed some value added to my eyes.

Add to that the top of the fence itself. Good visual interest and the texture of the wood is a bonus as well. All in all, the colour palette throughout is very complimentary and pleasing to view.

I suspect that birds are not easy subject matter and given some more time behind the lens, you will be on top of this genre in no time. It's a good shot, some adjustments ... very good. :o)
