I finally found a Dragon that would allow me to photograph it. Some seem to not want to be bothered at all while others will let you get close and contionously return close to the area it flew away from. This shot was taken with my D80 and a 105mm VR Micro Nikkor. Thanks for Viewing and have a nice day, My mistake on the image size. I will repost and delete this one.

Great detail and clarity...I really like the texture of the wood too. Like Ian said, love the camo!

One item on my "bucket list" is to visit every National Park in the United States. So far, 2 are in the book. Please check out my website for all my shots from Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

Very nicely done, Chris. These kind seem to not move away very far when you get close to them.

Very good shot Chris.

Hope you don't mind me saying this, however ... leaps and bounds indeed since I last looked in on your galleries. Composition, DOF and focus control et al.

'You' look to be quite comfortable now with the equipment. Or, I should say ... your images are showing well.

Really nice work behind the lens.

And I agree with the above comments regarding the textures you captured. Add in the diagonal lines ... good good work.

Caveats? (C'mon ... got to keep you anchored a bit, no? :oP)

Just kidding some there.

You have the head at the top left thirds point of intersection. This may just rest with me ... and personal preferences. Think that the lower intersection point might ... might have worked a tad better. And of course, that said without the benefit of having been there and what else was in the setting/scene.

It does look tight to the frame, if the suggestion was followed ... however, given the resolution size I am assuming this was cropped somewhat and might be a possibility.

Rest assured, this is a quality shot. Great detail, natural colour ... and despite my lone caveat of sorts (more a suggestion, really) ... your work is standing out now.

Thanks for sharing your creative efforts with us. Looking forward to seeing more.
