I was at a friends house this morning cleaning up after a party when we discovered this Preying Mantis. I didn't have my camera equipment so I transported her a few miles back to my house, where I released him in one of my Mom's gardens. I had to do some editing so if you see something please let me know. Thank you for viewing I hope you like this.

Chris, Such a superb capture of this wonderful critter. One of my favorite insects. So clear and well detailed with good composition. I wonder how in the heck you were able to transport it back to your mom's. I would have thought it would fly off! You can see one of my images of a praying mantis in our garden Here

Faved this wonderful capture.

She's giving you the eye Chris that's quite amazing. A fine photograph, but I'm most impressed at your resourcefulness.

I love these buggaboos too!! When I lived in Louisiana they were all over the place, easy to find, up here in ORegon there are none that i know of. I love your photo, and will enjoy keeping it in my files. My grandkids will love it too. They scare a lot of people, dont know why. Thanx for a beautiful shot of this critter. I love his tiny little eyes inside that "frame" around them....amazing photo...Verena
