I had to fave this one right away, since I am a big lighthouse fan. I love the color of the lighthouse. It looks so much better than the white one we have around here. Fantastic shot, Adriana. Welcome back.

Adriana, welcome back!
This lighthouse has the nickname 'Noordertoren' (northern tower) as Schiermonnikoog had a second lighthouse at the southtern part of the island which was called 'Zuidertoren' (southern tower). The 'Zuidertoren' is no longer in use and got another function: waterreservoir for the inhabitants of the island.
