I think this may be one of my favourite photos I have ever taken, and I almost missed it. As I drove by I did not notice this perfect location; luckily my companion was eating her carrots.

Hello Andre' !! This is fabulous!!! Oh the simplicity is there! Giving it such beauty. I can almost hear the silence!! That sky with the many little clouds and the weathered fence...its all just perfect. If I had to say anything negative it would be, to think of he "rule of thirds" and to have the horizon line of the grass and sky be either up or down a bit more instead of cutting right across the middle...I love this photo tho..I am anxious to see more of yours..This is on my desktop right now...Your photos really touch my heart, reminding me of where I was raised, in South Dakota....thank you so much..verena

I hope you have purchased your companion a lifetime supply of carrots. Beautiful capture. I tend to like the rule of thirds, but in this case, I like the split. :)

This gets a top vote from me as well. I'd vote over the top if I could if it were slightly rotated to the right. It's gorgeous.

The beer urges me on, the bewitching beer, which sets even a wise man to singing and to laughing gently and rouses him up to dance and brings forth words which were better unspoken. Homer, The Odyssey (note: beer substituted for wine)

That is truly lovely. I think for me, it's the silvered age of the fence that seems to tie it in more with the sky and clouds than the ground.

I was showing a friend the site and this was up on the first page ... and my thoughts were, hmm, I hope I don't lose this one ... thankfully I didn't.

I love the colours, I love the composition.

Simple? Hmm, maybe, but, not simplistic by no means. There are some very strong elements at work here and work well, they do.

Kudos for 'seeing' this image first and then for capturing it. Really really nice. Now, if you will excuse me ... into my favourites, don't want to lose this one. Thanks for sharing.

I like it very much, I feel like Im there. I think you hit the nail right in the head. I like the balance between earth and sky. The fence plays a big role too, other ways the picture would of been boring. Great depth, those clouds and blue sky make me feel at ease.
