I sometimes find it funny when driving through Saskatchewan and there is a turn in the road without a visible topographic reason. In this case, I remember there used to be a town called Snipe Lake just to the right of this photo; it had a few grain elevators and the road takes a left to go around and a right (as shown) to go back to the original bearing. The town is pretty much all gone now; it just looks like a small farm.
