A super wonderful place known as the Dungeon, this was my favorite place on a recent trip to Newfoundland.
Dungeon Provincial Park:
About a mile as the crow flies to the south of Cape Bonavista on the Trinity Bay side of the tip of the peninsula, is a very unusual rock formation known far and wide as the Dungeon. It is essentially a twin entranced sea cave with a collapsed roof, which has been carved into the cliff face by the incessant action of the sea. Photographed by many and ventured down into by the adventurous few, in their quest to acquire samples of fools gold. It ranks high on the list of sites in the area to be visited.
