Some farm machinery I pictured in the summer during a more then normally beautifull sunset. Taken on a Konica Minolta A1.

A wonderful picture, I love how the silhouettes of those farm machineries stand out against the blue sky. The tree on the right add something "natural and lively" to the image and the fiery colors look just great. Very good work from you, thumbs up !!!

I like this a lot William!
But you may ask yourself, what is it what you want to show us in this image: the outline of the machinery or the colors? For me the interest goes out to the machinery, and that is when I would decide to get rid of all the colors. You see, the colors only distract and even worse, it is difficult to get them realistic. So I would suggest you work on a b&w or sephia version of this great composition. Adjust the contrast and you have a great piece of art!

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...

Ok, straight from camera to Caedes. At that it is really good.
But what comes to Pauls comment, I dare to disagree. Strongly.
B&w and sepia are to be used as effects creating mood or telling a part of the story of the picture, not to hide bad or unrealistic colors. If one starts to do this, one is going the wrong way.

Besides this one has nice rusty, northern type of colors, which are actually quite realistic.
I see that kinda sunsets here in Finland all the time. If you do any editing, then let it be a little blur on the sky to remove the graininess on larger resos.

If you do make a b&w or sepia version, please don't delete this one, I know many will like this one more.

A beautiful photo. I love the sihoullettes with with the lone star just overhead in the darkling sky. And the colours of the horizon... Lovely.

Re. the two comments above, I agree with the second.. i think its beautiful as it is. Dont see how it would work in black and white, especially as the machinery is all dark anyway.

I love the colors here too. If anything I would have messed around slightly with levels or contrast and make the dark silhouette almost black. I tried it on for size just now. Even a B&W (same contrast) version... ;) That works too, but that makes for a totally different mood.
