I agree with flanno, if you wanted the fountain to be the focus of the portrait you should have made it more prominent. When you use the closure technique you need to use it accurately or it results in a sloppy photograph. Additionally keep the rules of third in mind and background and foreground treatment in mind, otherwise the viewers eyes have nothing to focus on.
I would like to compliment you on your use of camera settings, the lighting is nice, as is the capture of the water spraying out of the fountain. And I would also like to compliment your elegance in composing your caption for the photograph.
