When I was in Sedona earlier this year, I couldn't believe there was still snow in April. I enjoyed the sight and hope you do as well. Thanks for looking. ;) Anita
Hoi Anita, how high up is Sedona ? seeing there are still trees, it must have been below 2000 meters, and then yes, it is weird to still find snow.
Last year, high time summer, 34 C down in the valley, i got snow at above 3500 meters, it surpriced me as much as this one did to you to.
Did some recearch, and came up with a remarkable result (at least to me) all rain, yes all rain we get, during, winter or even summer, starts out as snow, or worse, starts out as hail, when it leaves the clowds.
During its ascent, it melts to another liquid form, and we do experiance it as rain.
This was new to me, rain was rain to me, but never figured, that when it left its clowdy cradle, it came down as snow originaly.

The detail in the rocks is great, Anita and I love the composition you chose! It's a grand place to be anytime and I'm glad you get to go there often! - Patty
I miss going to the Sedona area. This is a very nice capture and so interesting with the snow at that time of year. I remember many a harrowing ride up to the top of the mesa...say nothing about going back down :)PJ
I saw a peanut stand, heard a rubber band,
I saw a needle that winked its eye.
But I think I will have seen everything

I love rock formations. This oine reminds me of my days as a kid when we would travel up into the mountains. Now I know it's hard imagining that in a place like Yorkshire, home of the three nipples as i used to call them, but we doid have Brimman Rocks. Home of rocks like the Big bear.......mainly because it looked like a bear. This shot is great. I'm supprised you didn't need oxygen u that far, or did you use a very long lense?
I love cliff pictures, and what I most love about this one is that smaller cliff at the front that lookis like its been chisled out, really very nice capture Anita.
Very interesting and colourful rock formations Anita! It is strange the way they have eroded away leaving what looks like windows in the rock surface. They would have looked amazing against a blue sky. :) Patti

This is a nice view of the mountain top and I like the snow that is scattered on top. I like the the way that the trees grow just about anywhere. The clarity of the image is wonderful. Great work
