A lovely litte forest scene with good color and focus. Here's one of those shots that appeal to the senses when we're there because it's an "aha" moment. Very difficult to capture that essence on film or card. It might have been a bit more effective to catch that ray of sun hitting just at the base of the dead tree stump, lighting the pathway. That is why being a good photographer requires patience and often solitude. Most people don't want to sit on a stump with us and wait for that perfect moment! It's a lovely shot Anita. anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
They can be found almost everywhere. Just some are brighter than others. Lovely shot in the woods. The light was just right for you. My woods are always too dark or too light. This shot is just right.
Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel.

Well, I'll raise my hand in the crowd and finally open up my hot air hole..lol..I have a similar picture to this that I took a few years ago, and it's still on here...now I have two to look at. I just adore these types of mood pics, and they are very often found in a forest, or as in my own presentation in the forest in the fall, when there are natural breaks in the fallen leaves through the branches for a shaft of sunlight to find an opening. It's a time of quiet that so many of us forget to grab on to in our busy lives, and a gentle reminder like this sitting on a computer desktop where so much of the busyiness of our lives is devolved is an excellent idea, and a very thoughtful upload for all of us from you. Very well executed. :)PJ
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

What a great shot. You've done a wonderful job capturing a soft almost velvet look to this one. I really like it and thank you for caring enough to share with us.
This is nice also Anita. With the sun peeking through trees and landing on this tree stump, it appears to be pointing for you in right direction...gerry..
Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me for my comments.
well, we know it fell, but we still dont know if anyone heard it ;-) very nice image here, anita, i have a photo of the park i used to go to that has overgrown areas just like this.
I saw a peanut stand, heard a rubber band,
I saw a needle that winked its eye.
But I think I will have seen everything
When I see an elephant fly.
