FINALLY, the baby elephant came out from under mom. He's adorable and weighted in at 350 pounds at birth. No name yet, there's a contest ;) Thanks for taking a peek and for stopping by. Have a great weekend. Anita
Such a warm, wonderful image Anita. I like the way you've composed the baby with mom's big sheltering body taking up most of the background. Her presence is very much there without showing all of her; instead focusing on the main feature - this adorable young one.
Fantastic, my friend!! I'm so glad you were able to capture him and you did it so well .. this is really a treat to see. You are going to keep us 'posted' now on his progress?! Great shot!
350 lb's eh!....just a few pounds more than me, when I was born?
Wonderful shot Anita...I know you must have a lot of patience to eventually get this one!"
You waited long enough!....and it paid off for you!..........thanks!....

Awww. Wonderful! Almost a nursling's-eye-view of the mother elephant. The soft focus somehow adds to the tender feeling and it adds a hint of comedy, too, because sweet and soft isn't how we usually think of these BIG, rough creatures. I give this a perfect 10.

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
This is such a sweet photo in so many ways Anita. The mother is staying close to her baby to protect it and it's obvious this baby already loves its mommy so much.A very beautiful photo of love and trust.
Aaaaw so cute. Nice clear/interesting pic. I like how the mother's shadow is still incasing the baby though he has come "out from under". Another great capture.
