Ah yes and then he landed and wasn't afraid...for a minute. Then he would grab the peanut and off he flew. They were fun to play with. Thanks for coming by and have a great weekend. Anita
Wonderful photo you have here, Anita. He must be quite young and still does not know that human beings sometimes can be nasty! I have the same here in Spring with young thrush. Have to shoo them away from the sidewalk when you pass.
who made this photo? since I see a right hand it must have been someone else who took it or it's someone elses hand :o)
btw, the photo is a bit noisy, I'd recommend Noiseware Community Edition (last download link) :o)

In Holland, the name of the bird would be :
Mus.
The most comman bird overhere.
But i have never seen them THAT close to humans....
What a sweet sight... although they are so common overhere, i have never seen one so daring to fly so near to a human, let alone eat out of your hand, the image brought a little tear in my eye, so sweet.
Did you know, that this bird stays into aprox. 600 meter of its birthplace for life only ?
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

How the hell did you do this Anita!...The bird posing on yer hand and you with the camera in the other snapping away!...'amazing' talent you got!.......Can you do it with a glass in yer hand as well?...heh! heh!
Lovely and so cute!....wish most birds would do this!...Not Seagulls though!..don't like em!....But they have a reason to be afraid! don't they!
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

I have lived around these little birds my whole life, and never have they gotten that close! That is amazing! You must have the wildlife touch! What a splendid image!!
I am totaly fascinated by this bird landing on your hand, please pm me and tell me how it is done. These birds are always visiting my feeder. Also I use noiseware on all my bird photos, it is amazing how much clearer they look and it is free. Great work Anita, now you are the bird woman of Caedes.
I'm loving these hand feeding shots Anita. Brings back memories of years back when I had the distinct pleasure of feeling those tiny feet on my fingers. The thrill for me still remains fresh in my mind. Your patience and kindess has paid off handsomely ... WONDERFUL POSTS !!!
