There you go again! Showing me something I never knew about! I must be very sheltered. LOL I didn't know they could bend their legs like this. That is so amazing! I love the color of the feathers. Such a splendid creature! Thank you, Anita. I find this shot awesome and inspiring.

I must admit I don't spend a lot of time around flamingos. In fact, it's been about never..well, maybe once. At any rate, I'm with Cindy. I didn't realize they could bend their "knees" like that, or perhaps this is just an abberation and he's double jointed?

Wow. I didnīt no either that they couyd bend their legs like that. I stretch every day but Iīm not close to this one...LOL...My new knee are still a little stiffed. But last week I ride a horse and that was over 9 years ago I could do that :))))

me neither Anita! It always amazes me how their legs look like they are back to front and they come kitted out with knee guards! lol! it must be something to do with balance I expect! fantastic capture at close quarters - it looks like he is taking a snooze or saying a prayer! Patti

This guy is very ill. Sadly when they do that iot meens they are lacking in something. It looks like a weekness in the joints. The capture is lovely though and on the whole I love Flamingos.
