On the north shore again ... there is an area where the sea turtles like to bask in the sun. When one comes on shore to do so, the area is roped off and some lucky folks get to see one up close and personal ;) This was the case for us and it was an amazing sight. So big and enjoying the sun. Great shot Anita. Compared to the other animals you have the advantage that he/she won't run off or blur the picture by moving :) The brown sand makes a good background.

Those sea turtles are amazing! You really got a great close up shot of this one. It does look warm and cozy in the sun.

I am sorry that this weekend I didn't get to comment on all the photos. I took a weekend trip and when I got back there were plenty. Hopefully the photo's I took and am posting will somehow make up for it. Smile Steve

Awesome just awesome, and then just thinking that this turtle migh outlive me, what a special kind of animal this is.

They do remind me of close up shoots, when just born, and so tiny, just out of the egg, and running towards the sea... such a small creature all alone against that big ocean, it just makes you think...nature...

Besides that all, i got this image in the voting boot today, and gave it a top mark of 10 straight away, wich was realy deserved.

I have never had the pleasure of seeing one of these magnificent animals on the beach Anita. That is why I am enjoying this post so very much. I can only imagine your excitement at seeing this personally and I'm so glad you did my friend and wanted to share it with us. What an amazing capture.
