I think you did very good by taking the platform in to the frame. And you took a sufficient part of it into the frame to give the feeling of standing there. I beleive that if you took a little less or a little more of the platform into the frame it could loose the feeling that it has now. And for the backgorund there nothing to say, nice. Nice shot. : )

nice perspective, how many times we have the oportunity to see thru different angles our around.(but sometimes we don't do it).and this one, is just perfect for that...its kind of window, to see thru it..and enjoy the scenery, a peaceful and lovely place to contemplate it and look forward what is more far of the field of deph....great shot my friend, :)

Exceptional picture here Bernd, great overall view with the glass like water and the reflections displayed, seems peaceful, almost as if I am standing there now. You have captured this scene well, you were at the right place at just the right time my friend. Great work!! Very tastefully done.

Beautiful picture Bernd, I feel as though I'm right there, kicking back in a lounge chair with a good book & something to drink. Excellent perspective, you did a wonderful job of drawing the viewer into your photo & letting us become one with it. Great job !!

I agree with all the comments before me. If I were to say anything different, I would say I might have put the dock part at a slight angle instead of straight ahead as it were..to give it yet a bit more drama to it...making the boards at an angle would give a nice contrast to that gorgeous glassy water. I love the scene in the background..its very beautiful.. And I like that you put more water in this photos and not so much sky

Hey Bernd...You don't know how many times my mind revists a place just like this...Summer afternoons and evenings spent with dad fishing at our pond...wow, what a flood gate of emotions this does bring on. I think he's spending his eternity in a place just like this................Thanks for sharing it with us, Dave
