Actually, Bernd I really like this quirky little image of yours. It's all about subtle textures. The skin of the apple, the flesh of the fruit, contrasting against the dirt & the sere crumbly texture of the dead leaf. Then in the background, green life. Subtle contrasting textures & the contrasting theme of life versus death. Very nice & very thought provoking. Well done.

I have to agree with Lauren. And contrasts - your favourite topic... It doesn't look rotten to me at all. It looks as if it was tossed a minute ago. The skin is still red and glittering. Tell me Bernie was it your apple you didn't like anymore?
