This was taken in Leningrad just before the fall of the USSR, looks like someone stole the icon that was in the wall recess, I liked the entrance because of all the gold gilding.

The muted blues and purples and the contrast of the bright gold and the geometric patterns in this really work great. (I'm going to crop it and straighten it though for my desktop, to max the lines.)
