Yes,and I started getting scared when the wind picked up. Metallic whine started up,and my whole body was pushed around by the wind from it. Thank you for the comment.

the halo effect is excellent!
i wonder how different it would have worked if the sun had been behind the actual generator part? or just behind and obsucred by the point where all the rotors meet?

jzaw, that's not a vapour trail, it's a very odd light effect caused by the sun...I've never seen it happen before, but in all the other shots I have of this, there was never a vapor trail. Thank you for the comments though:)

The comment about the wind reminds me of the TV reporters on Futurama during the global warming crisis:
