This picture is awesome. The bird is perfectly framed. The dead pine needles sit perfect. I could go on for a long time. This is an awesome shot.

Incredible capture! I've never seen such a bird....and I can see such detail! I love the softness in the background as well. Seen in the VB and gave it a much deserved 10+, and onto my HD. Thanks for sharing :)

I remember being in the Tetons and being frustrated at not being able to get a picture of one of these stunning birds. What a great pic. Thank you!

Very tranquil calming, this is such a wonderful shot and very soothing to the eye. It is nature at its best. I love the colors on the bird and the framing you did. This will make a great desktop.

Boy is this ever a beautiful capture. I have to love the bird itself as a bird enthusiast ... but the branch you caught him on ... the colorful dead needles just below the bird ... and the focus blurring the hillside behind ...? Lord, you've put some image together ... Super job and a favorite for me.

Beautiful capture. I have never heard of a moutain blue jay. Maybe that is the same same for a stellar's jay. Also, alot of blue jays and stellar's jay have interbred so there are quite a variety out there. Great exposure setting...color is excellent.
