Your concept is good and well executed Since the backdrop adds its own spice to this upload, I think that off centering the subject using the rule of thirds would have lent this more interest. :)PJ

very nice. I like the complexity and clarity of the grains of sand. The hue is soft and pleasant. Insect very sharp. Good skill in not making it jump off as you got close with your lens. You using a macro/extension tube? 100mm macro?

wow, I did not notice the insect at first. It is only on the full view that it really stands out. Excellently integrated in his environement. Good eye, well captured!
