I have never seen such a cow in the Austrian mountains before. At home I will have a look what this is and why I saw it on our way to Salzburg. Will let you know than with another pic of one of those cows.

Hey Sabine, this is most definitely a Scottish Highland Cow or Bull - see here and
here and he/she looks right at home in Austria! lol! A beautiful photograph - the background is very subtle and the light illuminates the bull!

Sabine, this is the most dramatic shot of a Highland cow - or any other breed - I have ever seen! What a wonderful play of light, and sense of contrasts and distance. Excellent work and straight into my Favourites.
ohhhh hes so cute!!!!! i think it looks like highland cattle too... so i dunno why it is there either, but this is a wonderful shot of him, a fantastic background too!!!

Hello Sabine...I was surprised to see this highland cow in the Austrian mountains...I was brought up with these beauties when I was a wee lad in Scotland...I must say this is a lovely picture of my favourite breed of cattle...Well done....All the best...Mick.
