THE CAMERA'S ONLY JOB is to get out of the way of making photographs. It's entirely an artist's eye, patience, and skill that makes an image. ~Ken Rockwell VISIT MY GALLERY
Sabine, reading the description of Hans' post of this morning, I already knew that you and Chris were in Salzburg (lol). As this image is captured under perfect conditions and your title says 'before the weather changed', think you've bad weather now. That's bad luck for you (but to a certain extend for us as well, lol). Thanks for posting this wonderful image. Hope the weather will improve soon, enabling you to enjoy further your holiday. Regards, Cornelius
Oh great work :) !!! i do recognize the place, but not from this angle ! i only saw Salzburg from above as of the castle, wich clearly shows top right.
The weather is great here, and give the image a great colloring. This can not be shot from that mountain you climbed, seeing the angle, so it must have been taken from the Japanese spot if that is correct.
ohhhh I know this view well - you were on top of the Museum of Modern Art I think! ;) I remember when I first posted photos of Salzburg that you did not like the city - I hope now you have changed your mind! It is very beautiful. I was lucky enough to stay in the old city. My hotel was just around the corner from Mozart Square. :) this is already in my favourites Sabine - a lovely photograph and reminder of my visit there. Patti
ps I found my view from the same spot - see here. It is not very good quality now I look back at it but I remember the view well!

Lovely view and even though you were having great weather this day, I can see that the air is starting to become humid, which means here, anyway, that rain probably isn't that far away. Hope it didn't last long :)
