Oh dear, I love the view and that you included the woman, but shots like these make me nervous. I can't even see where her feet are *bites nails* I hope everything turned out as beautifully as your upload did!

Thanks for including the young lady. Really gives you a proper perspective of how high you are. However, she's too close to the edge for my liking. ;-)
My 'puter crashed the other day so I'm trying to get my new one up and running. ;-( This new OS (Vista) is going to take some getting used to. Sorry I haven't been commenting as much as I would like to. ;-)

Edit. My previous reply did not do your image justice seeing it was based on feelings and not based on the image itselve, thanks for your pm.
What i specialy like in this image is that you used the zoom lens here, this gives that certain feeling of hight, since a zoom gets all detail much more in contact with the nearerby foreground. And that is what creates dept in a image. The woman is very sharp and has a nice sunglow over her orange scarf. The only thing i regret is that i did not visit this mountain top myself. I would have loved to walk or sit here just in awe. What a view.
I wonder what she's thinking, Sabine. Her presence really puts this image in perspective. I also like the tradional garb contrasting with modern day sunglasses. Pretty cool image -
Whoa! That is so high up and since I can't see all of the woman, I am fearful that she might fall over the precipice. Wonderful perspective on this shot, Sabine.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

This is a great shot. Lovely colors and perspective. I would have left the woman out of the shot out of habit, but I think your decision to make her the focus is what makes this shot so great.

hey Sabine this is a wonderful portrait photograph - she is so sharp in focus and you can almost read her mind - she is lost in thought and daydreaming! The blurry landscape adds to the feeling of the picture and focuses your eye right on the main subject!
