If I knew how to spell "au contrare" I would put that in post. I suppose when you see this view on a daily basis, it becomes commonplace. However, it is special when you don't see it regularly. Love the colors, I can almost feel the sun in foreground. Great post.
My 'puter crashed the other day so I'm trying to get my new one up and running. ;-( This new OS (Vista) is going to take some getting used to. Sorry I haven't been commenting as much as I would like to. ;-)

I see Chris over there standing in front of your easel, trying to hide the evidence. It looks exactly like you are a master painter, and perhaps with your camera in your hand you are..in my faves, my dear. Excellent job.
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso
This has a painterly appeal and I can understand why you found those clouds so wonderful. The colors are great and the Austrian landscapes, much like those of Switzerland, have a bedazzling quality that you bring to my monitor. The shot is absolutely wonderful, Sabine.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I thoroughly have enjoyed looking at this picture. The top half and the bottom half both could be pictures on their own. I love the colors. Sabine, this is one of your best!
"...here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)"
Did you get your paint pallet out and paint this one Sabine? I like the effect - it is really lovely! now you need to sign it as it is your masterpiece!

This was one of my favorite things about Austria... the little farm communities on the way from Italy... This picture captures it perfectly! It almost looks like a painting...
