When you stand on one of the three mountains of the city of Salzburg, you always see a church. View from the mountain Moenchsberg.

Love this detailed Salzburg image, Sabine.
PS: saw yesterday Salzburg on TV as my wife was watching 'Musikantenstadl' which came from Salzburg. Think it's probably not your taste (mine either) but when I heard it came from Salzburg, I was watching longer then I was intended to do. Regards, Cornelius

Look at the hedge maze, or I think that's what it is, beyond the buildings over by the trees..oh okay...leave it to me to overlook the buildings and go straight to the green... :) The buildings are great and the architecture is wonderful.

I love rooftops! Maybe there is symbolism in being able to see a church from each hill. I also like the knot garden in the distance. This looks like a very lovely place. Good vantage point for this great shot, Sabine.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I always look forward to your posts because they are so interesting. I'm totally impressed with how well kept these buildings are. They look like they dressed up that morning in anticipation of posing for you. They trust you because they now you will be true to their purpose. Great clarity and detail.
