"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I hope he's not hiding in the grasses hunting Gerry's Mallards.
I think he's fully camouflaged and is peeking at us. Great photo and even better recognition of one before you snapped the shutter.

so peaceful and a wonderful setting Sabine. I might be inclined to crop some from the right or left and top to put the boat off-centre. You captured the grasses and water excellently - focus is really good and love the shimmer on the water!

A perfectly composed scene. This reminds me of a painting. Who knew that grasses could look this good - that sunlight adds more beauty to them. Nice reflections on the water and pretty shades of greens. Thanks Sabine :)
