Shift Tower

In the year 1581 this tower was built as a place to ring the bell, when the shift at the iron mine in Eisenerz started. Later the fire fighters of Eisenerz took over that tower. Today the tower is only used as a sightseeing point of the city. The sky was gray that day I took that shot, there were only view colors left - so I had to manipulate a bit. I hope you forgive ...

To me it looks like something out of an animated movie. Very nice. I like the colors, and I love the sky. Good job.

Sabine, please don't talk about 'forgive', as, to me, you did a wonderful job by manipulating this image. It look like an old painting now! I love it. Regards, Cornelius

This is a standout in the new Images ... that's what brought me here. Excellent composition and the perspective with that tower against what I think is a fabulous sky pleases these old eyes no end. The pale blue mountains are a tad surealistic ... but Hey!! ... it works for me. The color manip is fine. So ... Yes I will forgive you on one condition ... You'll forgive me for placing this in my favorites. Agreed ???

Normally I don't like to be manipulated. Who does? But when someone or something is manipulated this outstanding, you have to forgive and love it. Really great shot and post shot work. I'm guessing it was about 15:35 when this shot was taken. Talk about frozen in time. Great work Sabine.

just like an oil painting Sabine! Quite dramatic with the ensuing clouds. You bought out the colours well in the manipulation! well done!

I think those clouds added quite a background to this wonderful shot. It could almost be an illustration. What a fantastic scene. I love it!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
